The Business School Holds the 2024 Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition


On October 16, the Business School’s Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition was held in the MBA Lecture Hall, with an aim to promote teaching through competition and improve the quality of classroom teaching of the school’s teachers. Professor Li Mang from Beijing Normal University was invited as the review expert for the competition, Professor Zhou Weizhong from the Business School, Hu Zongliang and Yu Guangtao, members of the Teaching Committee of the Business School, Zhu Fei and Ji Yueting, teachers who were awarded the excellence award at Beijing Teachers' Teaching Innovation Competition, and Li Gapeng, the winner of the first prize of the 13th Beijing Young Teachers' Fundamental Skills Competition, were invited to serve as the judges of the competition.

 

 

After recommendation and selection by each department in the early stage, professors, associate professors and lecturers formed three teams to participate in the competition. Dai Hongyan from the new liberal arts track of the senior professional title group, Zhang Guangli from the industry-education integration track of the deputy senior professional title group, and Zuo Yuhan from the basic course track of the intermediate and below group gave wonder presentations on behalf of their teams.

 

 

After the presentation of the contestants of the three tracks, the judges of the competition provided pertinent comments and specific suggestions for all teams. Professor Li Mang provide final comments as the specially invited expert. He said that all contestants of the teaching innovation competition should understand the core of innovation. In the process of preparation for the innovation competition, it is important to grasp four aspects: (1) problems, (2) solid theoretical guidance, (3) methods, i.e. scientific expression methods or educational expression methods, and (4) how to solve problems and what about the effect, and condense and summarize the course from four aspects.

 

 

The Business School’s Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition does not only build a leanring and improvement platform for contestant, but also enhance the exchange of the Business School’s teachers in terms of teaching methods and teaching innovation ideas, and play an important role in assisting in improving the overall teaching quality of the School.
