The 20th Anniversary Homecoming Party for the Alumni of the Class of 2000 Majoring in Business Administration of the Central University of Finance and Economics Is Successfully Held
The alumni were reunited after 20 years of separation, and their friendship was even stronger on the Mid-Autumn Festival.
From September 15 to 16, 2024, during the Mid-Autumn Festival in the early autumn, the alumni of the class of 2000 majoring in Business Administration of the Central University of Finance and Economics returned to the campus to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their graduation.
The event was presided over by Mu Tong, the monitor of the Business Administration class of 2020, and gathered more than 30 alumni and their families, who returned to the campus with excitement, talked about the past and the present, shared feeling and happiness, and relived the old days. Li Yuexin, secretary of the Party Committee of the Business School, Lin Song, dean of the Business School and director of the MBA Education Center, and Sun Guohui, a professor of the Department of Marketing, were invited to attend the event and witness this unforgettable moment.
Relive the Old Days with the Emotional Surge
At noon on the 15th day, the alumni gathered on the campus at Xueyuan South Road, and every corner on the campus was full of familiar breath.
Secretary Li Yuexin and Dean Lin Song sent holiday wishes to the alumni, introduced the development condition of the university and the school, and encouraged the alumni to continue to pursue excellence in the new era. Dean Lin Song said, “today’s Central University of Finance and Economics, with the support and contribution of generations of excellent students, continuously improves the quality and social influence of education.” His words made all alumni feel proud.
Subsequently, the special video “The 20th Anniversary of the Graduation" flashed back to the classroom time 20 years ago, evoking everyone's infinite nostalgia for the campus life. The 20 years is like a fleeting show, but the friendship among classmates has never changed.
Teachers and Students Love Each Other and Move Forward Hand in Hand
Professor Sun Guohui, the representative of the teaching staff, shared interesting classroom stories with the alumni and placed sincere hope on them, encouraging them to continue to pursue further study and make innovation in their careers and lives.
After that, the alumni representatives spoke enthusiastically and shared their career experiences and life insights. This made them feel that time had gone back and they had returned to that age full of dreams and passions.
Finally, all members took a group photo in front of the teaching building to mark this precious moment.
Explore the New Campus and Witness the Transformation
On September 16, the alumni visited the modernized Shahe campus and appreciated a brand new look that was completely different from the Qinghe campus where they had studied before.
Under the leadership of the library teacher Yang Jing, they walked into the Chengwang Tower, which was a perfect combination of modern atmosphere and classical culture. The abundant resources, open reading spaces and cutting-edge digital management methods made everyone deeply feel the emphasis of the school on the cultivation of future talents.
Teacher Yang Jing explained in detail the profound meaning behind the library design. The "integrated" water landscape shows the integration of Chinese culture and foreign culture through movable-type printing and mosaic technology. The 13.55-meter-high oil painting "Oriental Civilization" shows some symbolic buildings such as the Forbidden City and the Taj Mahal. The upward steps made of books in the painting mean “diligence is the path to the mountain of knowledge”. The oil painting "Western Civilization" presents the essence of ancient Egyptian culture, ancient Greek culture and other cultures, and shows marine civilization, which symbolizes “hard-working is the boat to the endless sea of learning”. The ingenious design left a deep impression on the alumni.
When visiting the library, alumnus Lin Shuilong saw his book "The King of Compound Interest: Deconstructing Buffett" in the new book exhibition area. This book is now collected by the library on the Shahe campus and has become a precious gift for alumni to add luster to their mother school. Alumnus Lin Shuilong took a group photo with the book to express his deep gratitude to his mother school.
This gathering is not only a memory of the past, but also a prospect of the future. No matter where they are, the alumni would cherish the deep affection for the mother school, remember the cultivation of the mother school, and inspire each other to keep moving forward on their own paths.
With the changes and development of the campus, what remains unchanged is the alumni's deep affection and sense of pride for the mother school. This brand-new campus witnesses the rapid development of the school, carries the expectations and blessings of the alumni, and encourages generations of CUFE students to pursue excellence in the future.
At this point, the 20th Anniversary Homecoming Party for the Alumni of the Class of 2000 Majoring in Business Administration of the Central University of Finance and Economics came to a successful conclusion.
